Emerald Liquid Odyssey

THUMLOCK was one of the best fuzz/ stoner/desert rockbands ever to hail from Australia. They released 3 album plus 2 EPs and a few singles from 1997-2002. Most of their releases have only been released in Australia,so  these are  impossible to find nowadays.

Also their music has never been released on vinyl before… until now…
We’re very excited to announce that we are releasing their 2000 album “Emerald Liquid Odyssey” on delicious double vinyl. Additionally we’ve added their 1997 EP “Dripping Silver Heat” which has never been officially released.

The press wrote.

This album is one of those rare masterpieces that only arrives every couple of years if you are lucky. While great albums are produced regularly, few have the uniqueness and timeless appeal that this album has. The band was like a mix of Hawkwind, Sabbath, Monster Magnet, Astrosoniq, Ufomammut and Kyuss but with an original sound of their own that has never been re-produced since. The way this album was recorded is also different to most other albums. The band will be cruising along sounding heavy enough and then they will hit overdrive, the sound explodes and gets twice as loud and twice as raw. These up’s and down’s of riffing intensity make the album a total buzz-kill to listen to and when you add to that the psychedelic lyrical concepts and atmosphere, the album is a pure joyful musical experience. They were also not afraid to add more traditional rock elements in their songs as well, there is patches of Thin Lizzy styled twin guitar work and there is even blues passages. –  (10/10 points)
