General Information.

Church of the Cosmic Skull is a twofold entity: a new religious movement who seek to free mankind from their material possessions and unify all living beings into a singular cosmic whole; and a 7-piece supergroup based in Nottingham UK playing Prog/Psych/’70s Rock/Pop.

For fans of Black Mountain, Ghost, King Gizzard, Uncle Acid.

The combination of guitar, hammond organ, electric cello, bass and drums is a tip of the hat to the Mahavishnu Orchestra sound, but with six-part Queen-esque vocal harmonies and Thin Lizzy pop-rock structures.

Brought together by songwriter Bill Fisher, the group features some of the best musicians in the universe.

The Seven Objects:

Recognise the hallucinatory nature of reality

Investigate all aspects of the reality-hallucination

Receive all phenomena with equanimity

Celebrate and uphold the freedom of art, science and thought

Meet mistakes with forgiveness and determination

Do what you want, with love in your heart

Maintain focus on the unity of all living beings

General Information.

Devil Electric combine the riffs of old and new in a collision of unholy matrimony.

Droning distortion, heart-pounding drums and rumbling bass all tied in with haunting female vocals.

This is what it sounds like when someone walks over your grave.

Born down-under during a ritualistic listening of Sabbath & The Dead Weather, Devil Electric pride themselves on their crafted song structures and hook-laden riffs. Fronted and defined by a dark and gracious female presence, they offer a modern, heavy and fuzzed-out brand of rock n’ roll.

‘Devil Electic blew my mind. A wall of sound with haunting vocals – one word, HUGE’ Tonedeaf

“The heavy chug and masculinity of the rhythms are perfectly counterbalanced by Pierina O’Brien’s Joplin-esque vocals.” Heavy Magazine

Friendship cover300

General Information.

Friendship is a power-trio from norway consisting of three young men and was founded in 2011. They spent countless hours in sweaty cars and cramped up rehearsing spaces.

Since their conception, the band has played everything from large festivals and venues like Kongsberg Jazzfestival and Rockefeller Music Hall to the window sill at the small pub Sonder Bar in Göttingen, Germany.

The recordings of Friendship’s debut album were made in an old community house outside of Oslo, where the band members moved in with a bunch of recording equipment and instruments. Eleven tracks were recorded. The joyful atmosphere is audible: The music was recorded by Eivind Walberg, the vocals by Øyvind Røsrud Gundersen. The record was mixed by Christian Engfelt at EngfeltForsgren Studio and mastered by Håkan Åkesson.

The power-trio has elements of funky brass, violin and a lovely psychedelic organ on the closing track. Friendship is a hard working rock band with four feet in the old music and two in the modern. The record has an interesting width with exciting dynamic tracks, seducing jamming and rock songs you’re going to want to listen to again and again. The result is tight, groovy and sexy!

Cover300

General Information.

Some of rock’s greatest bands share an interesting quality: Soul. Cream, The Stooges, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Afghan Whigs and Vanilla Fudge all played glorious rock at concussive volumes but were also swinging to an unmistakable beat, filtering their thunderous bluster through a soul crooner’s sensibility. Heavy Glow qualifies for that exclusive roll call.

Pearls & Swine and Everything Fine is potent proof of Heavy Glow’s deep influences. Heavy Glow constructs Pearls & Swine on a foundation of fuzz-fueled hard rock, appointed with psychedelically-tinted blues and beautifully textured washes of Motown/Memphis soul. Simultaneously, a punkish verve cattle prods the retro rock vibe squarely into right now.

For this album Heavy Glow teamed with infinitely talented producers Michael Patterson (Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross, Beck, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, P. Diddy, Notorious B.I.G., Duran Duran) and Nic Jodoin (BRMC, The Morlocks, Nightmare Air). Patterson and Jodoin’s concentrated methodology resulted in an album that is black hole heavy and as cohesive as the ’89 Detroit Pistons.

Pearls & Swine and Everything Fine (with brilliant cover design by renowned artist Darren Grealish, whose work includes gig posters for Queens of the Stone Age and the Melvins and graces the walls of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame) features Jared’s totally now perspective, his innate ability to focus his love of rock/soul/psychedelia through a contemporary lens to create Heavy Glow’s modern classicism, placing the band into the sonic realm shared by QOTSA and Foo Fighters.

General Information.

Age of Man are a South Arkansas-based blues-rock trio comprised of Matt Benson on lead guitar and vocals, Brandon Borden on drums, and Eric Stone on bass. Their thick and muddy brand of blues-steeped guitar rock is reminiscent of a simpler time, stripped of modern musical conventions and cleverly re-imagined from its very core.

It all began in the early months of 2010! Matt Benson and Jeffery Greer (former drummer) just got out of a progressive-rock band, just wanting to play blues-rock and psychedelic-blues music. It didn’t take long to find a bass player and get Age of Man on their stomping feet.

Late 60’s and early 70’s power trios were the drive and inspiration for their sound, as well as current bands like Radio Moscow and early the Black Keys stuff! Benson was very much influenced by Jimi Hendrix early in life, but even older, less polished blues music would become a huge influence on his guitar playing.

They began playing a lot of shows and some festivals, even opening for one of their favorite bands, Radio Moscow and later opening for Dax Riggs! They also had a 12 song demo on hand, very poorly recorded and handcrafted right in the jam room at Benson’s house. Sometime in mid-2012 they took a road trip to Georgia and had their first studio session, recording a 6 song EP. However, this EP never saw the light of day.

After e-mailing change after change and realizing the only solution was to drive back to the studio or just scrap it all together… So they decided to simply scrap it into obscurity. Around the middle of 2013 Jeff left the band, and Brandon Borden joined on drums. Later that year they recorded another 6 song EP at Benson’s house.

Eventually they found a keyboardist/organ player that would fit right in and beef up their sound. Musician Eric Stone joined the band in late 2014 and Age of Man was now a 4 piece band for the first time ever. However, this was very short lived, Darryl Driskill left the band as their bass player. Stone moved over to bass guitar and left the organ behind, only to pick it up again during the recording of their upcoming album release… Less than a year later, with the perfect band lineup, the band went 2 hours north to Wolfman Studios in Little Rock, Arkansas and recorded their first full length studio album!

Of course, they had to call it About Time!

The group is influenced by artists such as The Faces, Alice Cooper, Master’s Apprentices, Cream and Blue Oyster Cult. The sound is straightforward and heading for the roots of rock. General Information.

Fusing the more engaging key elements of psychedelic, stoner and classic rock, newwave Brit rockers ‘Red Spektor’ spit out rock ‘n’roll riffs that are hypnotic, energetic and genuinely gripping.

The power trio set about honing their craft in the rehearsal room, soaking up influence from the likes of King Crimson, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and Peter Greens’ Fleetwood Mac –and were soon in a place where they could take their music to the masses, with a cluster of shows as the band laid siege on the UK.

The rock ‘n’rollers have now turned their attention to recording their debut full-length album. The record features nine killer tracks that masterfully highlight the band’s manifesto. Starting with ‘Before The Sunrise’ and finishing with ‘Black Moon Rising’ – the energy and drive is paramount. Exuding stunning guitar lines and captivating vocals by vocalist and guitarist John Scane, Rob Farrell’s hard-hitting fluid bass work and the rhythmic stout of Darren Bowen on drums.

Recorded in just seven days, the album delivers a high velocity wave of psychedelic blues. You’ll know you’ve been served a feast of rock.
