General Information.

The Age Of Truth is a band, a brotherhood and a mission. Four brothers-in-arms from Philadelphia united in the singular pursuit of making the most honest heaviness this broken world can handle. As our modern lives bathe us in constant unravelling lies and deceptions, the heaviness they create makes them clean.

With a fully stocked arsenal of riffs wrapped in a tone of honey dipped Satan, The Age Of Truth blends fuzz and diesel fuel with elements of heavy blues, stoner rock and psychedelia. The perfect soundtrack for a barroom brawl that they know only as…the heaviness.

Be Drunk
By Charles Baudelaire

“You have to be always drunk. That’s all there is to it—it’s the only way. So as not to feel the horrible burden of time that breaks your back and bends you to the earth, you have to be continually drunk.

But on what? Wine, poetry or virtue, as you wish. But be drunk.

And if sometimes, on the steps of a palace or the green grass of a ditch, in the mournful solitude of your room, you wake again, drunkenness already diminishing or gone, ask the wind, the wave, the star, the bird, the clock, everything that is flying, everything that is groaning, everything that is rolling, everything that is singing, everything that is speaking. . .ask what time it is and wind, wave, star, bird, clock will answer you: “It is time to be drunk! So as not to be the martyred slaves of time, be drunk, be continually drunk! On wine, on poetry or on virtue as you wish.”

….

A wonderful poem by Baudelaire that captures the whole point of existence and therefore just as precise captures the soul of this band. This is pure speculation of course and should be regarded as alternate facts.

General Information.

The Ugly Kings are four powerhouse blues rockers drawing influence from an eclectic and dynamic musical background. They offer a powerful injection of energy and emotion to the modern rock scene, formulating what can only be described as power blues. The catchy riffs and foot stomping rhythm lay the foundations for the deep reaching and soulful emotive vocals.

Having 1 mini-album (Of Sins) under their belt already, they are thrilled to sign with Kozmik Artifactz for the release of their debut full length album in early 2018. The Ugly Kings have supported Airbourne on their successful sold out east coast Australia tour in January 2017 with great reviews. They also supported Rival Sons in 2016 on their first Australia headline side-show in Melbourne during the Black Sabbath ‘The End’ World Tour.

“What they delivered was something that I was not ready for. A sound that is almost indescribable. It’s as if a mash up of all my favourite artists had been put into a blender and formed this delicious power sludge bluesy stoner rock. Elements of the classics such as Led Zep, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Sabbath, Danzig and a touch of Bowie were mixed in with the modern sounds of The White Stripes, Queens Of The Stone Age, Kylesa & Wolfmother. I was in heaven!” – Rogue, Inc.

“Loud, heavy, slightly-sludgy classic rock meets blues with a modern bend, played by a band that swaggered about the stage with a distinct, but subtle, air of cool. By the end, Sydney was more than happy to learn words on the fly and sing along when the front man held his mic over the mosh. The Ugly Kings are well-versed in the art of restraint, they know when to move and make the crowd get on their feet, and when to step back and let the music do the talking.” – Australian Guitar

“It’s not often you see a band have the crowd so excited and receptive by the second song in the way The Ugly Kings do with such an original sound. Only to be described as The Ugly Kings!” – Ryan O’Keefe (Airbourne Drummer)

“Great show! The Ugly Kings have really got their own thing going on and it rocks! I love all the dynamics, pushing and pulling and then always smashing it out. Great intensity and power.” – Joel O’Keefe (Airbourne Frontman & Lead Guitarist)

“Thick, groove induced chords, deep baritone vocals and a harden-the-fuck-up ethos” – Phantom’s Way

‘Promised Land, a four-minute beast that sounds like the Rival Sons and the Graveltones going head-to-head with John Bonham and Jim Morrison. With multiple riffs and deft twists and turns, it sounds fantastic..’ – SonicAbuse

For fans of The Doors, Jack White, Black Sabbath, The Black Keys, Royal Blood and Rival Sons.

General Information.

In a dark corner of an old dusty metal shop, alongside the menacing blasts of industrial age freight trains, that’s where the sound was forged…

Where the rusted steel of a bygone era meets the ancient spirits of legendary mountains, that’s where the reckoning came to be…

As a whole greater than it’s parts, a beacon arose from the valley below and brought forth a new sense of old ways and a recalibration of doctrine.

In other words…

Geezer lay down thick heavy grooves rooted in the tradition of pre-war slide guitar blues, while simultaneously breaking boundaries through sonic experimentation and improvisation.

2015 has been a year of milestones for Geezer. It all started with the worldwide release the highly acclaimed EP “Gage” on Ripple Music, followed by the release of “The Second Coming Of Heavy: Chapter One”. The first in a series of splits from Ripple Music, it combined Geezer’s heavy blues with the massive riffs of Borracho to create an instant classic.

Geezer also spent much of the year playing live, including a tour of the the American rust belt with Bison Machine. To date, Geezer has shared the stage with bands like Gozu, Wo Fat, Mos Generator, The Golden Grass, The Midnight Ghost Train and High On Fire, among others.

New material is in the works and preparations are being made for a new full length album to be released in Spring of 2016. Always moving forward and venturing into new sonic landscapes, 2016 promises to be the year that Geezer spreads their brand of heavy-psych-blues across the seas to an ever-expanding international audience.

The reviews tell the tale…

“Five tracks of heavy and hazy blues rock drift across desert sands, echoing through moonlit canyons under starry skies, a moreish Peyote for altering the minds of easy riders everywhere.”: Metal Hammer, April 2015

“Geezer’s EP is a work of genius. Stoner Rock of the highest order… Brilliant and highly recommended.” The Sludgelord

“The bass is a leviathan of low end rumble, the blues guitar forging molten riffs of iron and steel, and the drum work massive and purposeful.”: Heavy Planet

“It’s a powerful and soothing expression of nearly a hundred years of music placed upon an altar that a thousand giants built and cherished, and this one may stand the test of time in ways that will continue to define the genre for a long time to come. Yes, it’s that damn good.”: Russell Mullen @ The Ripple Effect

Always Heavy… Totally Righteous… Geezer

General Information.

His Masters Voice call their style of music “The Devils Blues”. Listen to their 2014 album ‘Possession’ and you will hear influences from the greats of classic HEAVY rock but with a contemporary energy and relevance.

Musically and visually the band possess an inventive and original signature style that showcases the strength of their collective song writing, yet allows their individual talents to show through. His Masters Voice put everything into their live performance. To them, their audience comes first and that audience grows in number and dedication with every show.

Reviews:

“…Full of Led Zeppelin swag, they are smooth and easy on the ears. It’s hard not to get swept up in the moment and it’s never easy to fully capture to readers how great of a show they put on. Vocalist, Jesse Sorensen has the blues running through his veins, an old soul in a young man’s body that clearly lives and breathes what he does and it shows. A tight band that sound years above their average ages…”

Muzic.net

“Vocally supreme, Lyrically superb and the music is big time kick ass. Listening to them takes you on a journey like no other, both calming, trippy, hard hitting, fast paced and edgy. A must have in your music collection…”

Rock Bandom

“… I’m sick of it (blues) sounding so generic… (His Masters Voice’s music) it’s a breath of fresh air that I think has worldwide musical value”

– Zorran Mendonsa (Producer/Engineer)

The 13th Floor’s Tove Partington had this to say…

“… Everything you ever wanted from the love child of metal and dirty blues has come true with His Masters Voice. After only five shows, they have already made it to my ‘bands you must see before you die’ list…”

NZ Musician Album Review by Stu Edwards

“While His Masters Voice has harvested a classic sound, Follow Me Down dishes up a modern flavour that could comfortably stack up next to modern icons such Black Stone Cherry or Mastodon. Bonus live track Lucid Dream is a weighty eight minute insight into what the band are all about”

NZ Musician

NZM Fresh Talent – Clovis McEvoy

“Like a smouldering volcano, His Masters Voice have heaved into Auckland’s live music scene – and with just a two-week turnaround from stepping into the studio to the release of their debut EP, it would appear the band could erupt anytime…”

If John Lee Hooker, Kyuss and Janis Joplin had a baby, can you imagine how ugly that little alcoholic infant would be? Fortunately, South Australian quartet Kitchen Witch can hold their liquor long enough to write some booty shakin’ bluesy stoner grooves.

In 2013, Kitchen Witch formed and hit the live circuit hard. They recorded the double A-side single “Shock/Beer Swilling Baby”.

2015 saw the release of the “Trouble” EP. The 5-track blues rock release has attracted over 10,000 plays on YouTube and was featured on the attached CD of globally distributed Classic Rock UK Magazine.

In 2016, Kitchen Witch recorded the darker “Back To The Mud” EP at Studio Finetime (Hydromedusa, Woe), showing a heavier side to the group that is evident in their live shows.

Recently, Kitchen Witch have signed with Kozmik Artifactz for an exclusive vinyl release featuring selected tracks taken from both EPs.

Kitchen Witch continue to go from strength to strength with a powerful twist of blues, gospel, roots, country, punk, 70’s rock and stoner doom.

“A very unique alt. blues sound, incredibly fun.” – themusic.com.au

“Zepplin, Kyuss, The Kills, Deap Vally all huffing the one monster spliff, riffing you a sweet stoner blues lullaby.” – Spoz’s Rant

Grusom Cover 1000

General Information.

With dark and gloomy lyrics, GRUSOM creates an honest and unpolished universe that questions life and death through authentic stories and malicious tales.

It started out in a small room, in a small town, in a small country.
Three guys with the urge to play rock ’n’ roll and let their hair hang loose.
The band, formed in late 2013, began with only a guitar, drums and vocals.
Knowing they needed more, the guys called a few friends, luring them into this idea.
That became as easily done as said and within a week had the crew assembled: two guitars, bass, drums, organ and vocals.
And so became GRUSOM!
The band released its DIY demo on bandcamp late in the summer of 2014 and received a lot of unexpected attention, which really lit a fire beneath the young guys’ feet.
From here on there’s one thing to say: HORNS UP and ROCK ON!

The press wrote:
The more I listen to the more it takes to excite me. This demo has me jumping for joy! These 3 songs show the most promise of any demo I’ve heard practically all year long. Wow! Not since King Buffalo’s demo about this time last year, has a short intro provided such promise. 3 song concept album about gruesome stuff. Listen up and keep your eye out for these guys.
-Bucky Brown / theevilengeneer

Grusom make some truly majestic rock, the old way. Inspired by and delving into the heart, passion and darkness of the 70s they put forth a dramatic Luciferian mass through a 3 song demo and make the listener
swoon as well as despair this unforgiven night. Grusom is outstanding and captures a pure essence of how good rock music is crafted and presented. Hail!

General Information.

Hailing from the urban wilds of Melbourne, Australia, Child combine the heavy emotion of the blues with the tone and raw power of hard rock to create a visceral musical experience that reaches right into the chest of listeners.

Since the release of their runaway self-titled debut in 2014, Child have continued to develop their unique brand of heavy blues through constant writing and extensive touring. The band is set to release the follow-up ‘Blueside’ in December 2016, which builds on this foundation to deliver a slab of pure sonic expression following in the long tradition of the blues.

The freedom and sheer power of live performance is an important part of Child’s approach to music, and they look forward to again bringing this to the world while continuing their search for the ultimate union of feeling, tone and raw expression.

General Information.

MAMMOTHWING were formed under the blood red moon of summer solstice 2013. Coming from a blues/doom/psych background, the strange sounds of brothers Marty Fisher (guitar + vocals) and Billy Fisher (bass + vocals) melded perfectly with the trancelike grooves of Kev Richardson Jr (drums). In the centre of Nottingham, England, their self built studio ‘The Room of Doom’ was to be home to sonic experimentation and debauchery. Improvised jams flowed into full tilt rock. No two shows were the same. People listened, people cried.

With their first album due for release on Bilocation this year, MAMMOTHWING continue to produce a unique sound which is at once dynamic, moving and crushingly heavy.

‘A cosmic mind voyage from doom valley to blues mountain’
